I draw everything in Sketchup, where I can paint on the colors that you mentioned, and then I used Adobe Illustrator to add the text and title and diagramming on the final images.

If your not familiar with Sketchup, its a free modeling program that's really good for 3D modeling, but I use it for 2D drawing like this as well because I can import google earth views for reference, draw with precise dimensions, and paint the diagrammatic color scheme on.

Its a really easy to use program, and easy to practice with. Make sure to use that google earth integration to reference real parks and environments. That helps make it look right. I have done some in the past, but yours just has this neat colour palette to it. Also if you could, any tips for using it?

Thank you, and have a magical evening :DDavid Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05585639047563258762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320987861245813444.post-4417644065037939722016-11-29T22:26:30.337-05:002016-11-29T22:26:30.337-05:00It might be best to put it on the left side of the...It might be best to put it on the left side of the park, as it would be very close to Disneyland Parc and the sound would run off.David Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05585639047563258762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320987861245813444.post-17977749728637716192016-11-22T18:49:27.648-05:002016-11-22T18:49:27.648-05:00Mark, thanks for the comment. I'm basically banking on the idea that it would be a gritty action filled adventure film, like Pirates, and therefore might have good odds for success. It could happen. Or it could flop, who knows?

True, the Disneyland Paris park covers a lot of properties already, which was one of the reasons I went with the live action regimaginings, hoping that they could have enough stylistic and tonal difference to allow for crossover. And trying to coordinate that with the films that could potentially be popular enough for theme park inclusion and is compelling enough to be an immersive environment starts cutting the list fast.

As for your list of potential other themes, I'll definitely put them under consideration. Some could work if the organization of the park were to be adjusted.

TRFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01312055491812910235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320987861245813444.post-25983399302044691182016-11-22T18:31:34.164-05:002016-11-22T18:31:34.164-05:00Interesting idea. While Beauty and the Beast is more known for the fact it takes place in France, some time in 18th Century France if I had to guess, Sleeping Beauty takes place in Medieval France, so of all the Disney Animated Movies, it's inclusion makes the most sense to me.NerdmanReturnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08350660761292452830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320987861245813444.post-45716975763261874172016-11-22T09:27:49.305-05:002016-11-22T09:27:49.305-05:00I like the inclusion of Robin Hood as a subland. For the three expansion areas, DLP technically has a Peter Pan and Aladdin area (even if they are small). Snow White is a good possibility, depending on how what the new one with her sister is like.

Alternative ideas - A new Land of Oz area merging all three unused expansions;
* A subland based on the Pete's Dragon remake (a really good film).
* Wonderland remains an option but NerdManReturns' point about Fantasyland having a good subland makes sense.
* I think one of these parks really needs a Winnie the Pooh land. A new film is in the works, so perhaps a forested area forever in autumn would provide a tranquil setting for those wanting to get away from the noise and traffic.
* A land based on Raohl Dahl books, like the BFG, Willy Wonka, James and the Giant Peach, etc (acting like a counterpart to the Dr. Seuss land at Universal).
* Halloween Town (an entire outdoor-indoor land if you get my meaning).
* Ghibli Country - Miyazaki films, a real architectural/environmental paradise for Imagineers.

Mark Russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07372315482242176056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320987861245813444.post-18469442485728068932016-11-22T03:16:10.890-05:002016-11-22T03:16:10.890-05:00Wow! Its a big enough guess just to include it this far out.

Yeah the expansion areas are pretty open and that is just because we need to wait and see what live action films are going to get made and be successful in the future. I feel confident including the live action Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid areas, and Robbin Hood is a long distance guess.

When I look at the future releases, the ones that stand out as possibilities are Tink, which would allow a cool Peter Pan area, Snow White, and the possible Aladdin prequel. Those are all years out, so who knows. For now, they'll just stay expansion pads.

Thanks for the comment. I'm interested particularly what your plans for the Spider-Man, Jungle Book, Robin Hood, and Indiana Jones rides.

However the biggest thing I'm curious on is the potential expansion areas in the Disney Animation area. An idea for Expansion 1 that could work, especially with how close it is to Robin Hood is Sword in the Stone. Expansion 2, next to that, could be a Sleeping Beauty ride. Expansion 3 is uncertain to me considering it would presumably have to act as a transition between Sleeping Beauty and Jungle Book. I would suggest Alice in Wonderland, but that I believe is in the other Paris park, so perhaps instead I would suggest maybe Snow White or Cinderella.NerdmanReturnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08350660761292452830noreply@blogger.com
